The Iranian Red Crescent Medical Journal (IRCMJ) is committed to maximizing the accessibility and dissemination of the research it publishes, while ensuring the protection of intellectual property rights.
1. Copyright Holder: Upon acceptance of an article for publication, Copyright for the article shall be retained by the Iranian Red Crescent Medical Journal (IRCMJ) and the Iran Red Crescent Society. This transfer of copyright allows the IRCMJ to exclusively publish the article in all formats, manage licensing, and defend the work against copyright infringement.
2. Naming of Copyright Holder: The IRCMJ / Iran Red Crescent Society shall be clearly named as the copyright holder on all published articles, appearing on both the HTML and PDF versions.
1. Creative Commons License: All articles published in the IRCMJ are fully Open Access and are immediately available to read, download, and share, subject to the terms of a Creative Commons license.
2. Specific License: IRCMJ utilizes the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial $4.0$ International License (CC BY-NC $4.0$).
o Terms: This license permits non-commercial use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. Commercial use of the article is not permitted without prior written permission from the IRCMJ.
3. Indication on Published Articles: The CC BY-NC $4.0$ licensing terms shall be clearly indicated on the first page of every published article (both HTML and PDF versions).
IRCMJ supports the dissemination of research and has a clear policy regarding authors' rights to archive their work:
· Pre-print: Authors may post their original manuscript (pre-print) at any time, including before submission to IRCMJ.
· Post-print (Author's Accepted Manuscript - AAM): Authors are allowed to deposit the final, peer-reviewed, accepted version of their article (post-print or AAM, which is the version before copyediting and formatting) in any institutional repository or subject repository (e.g., PubMed Central, ResearchGate, institutional pages) immediately upon acceptance.
· Version of Record (VoR): Authors may also deposit the final published article (Version of Record/PDF) in an institutional repository or subject repository immediately upon publication, provided that a clear link to the article's URL on the IRCMJ website is included, referencing the CC BY-NC $4.0$ license terms.
